Pop Culture, or popular culture, refers to the recognized and shared social references across diverse societies and often includes a broad range of movies, music, television, games, cartoons, sports, news, politics, and fashion. Looking at a large variety of subjects and sources that includes everything from fictional characters to current events, these pop culture resources are created to further share data about the popular trends of our time. This is often associated with the rise of mass consumerism. Pop culture is often viewed as trivial, or mainstream. But it is actually a lot of fun. The following collections have been created for you as a survey of the various characters, heroes, villains, celebrities, and topics that are shared around the world. These resources will be constantly expanded over time in an effort to further illustrate and document the many topics and issues related to Pop Culture.
Anthony Hopkins is an acting legend. He was born in 1937 in Wales and trained as a stage actor in London, where he was subsequently spotted by Lawrence Olivier who invited him to join his theatre company. Hopkins began his screen career in the late 1960s, and quickly rose to fame.
