Dave Mirra was an American BMX rider who is known for holding the most X Games medals in the BMX Freestyle event. He joined the Haro Bikes BMX team in 1987 at the age of 13 and turned professional in 1992. Dave Mirra was primarily a vert ramp and park rider and is tied with Tony Hawk and Joe Parsons to being the fastest to reach 14 X Game medals. Dave Mirra won a total 24 X Games medals and received a medal in every X Games from 1995 to 2009. He retired from BMX riding in 2011. Dave Mirra died on February 4, 2016.
