The Grey Partridge (Perdix perdix) also known as the Hungarian is a gamebird with a long brown-back with gray flanks and chest. The Grey Partridge is typically seen on ground and found in farmlands across Europe, Canada, the United States, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. It is mostly found in grasslands and agricultural fields. The Hungarian Partridge is a ground forager and mainly eats seeds, wheat, barley, oats, corn, sunflower, foxtail, ragweed, and Russian thistle. A female Grey Partridge can lay up to 22 eggs, the most eggs among any bird species.
