Oscar De La Hoya is a former Mexican-American professional boxer who retired to become a mixed martial artist and boxing promoter. He is a sextuple champion coupled with eleven world titles plus a gold medal in the lightweight division he bagged when competing for the USA in the 1992 Summer Olympics. Oscar De La Hoya was a top-rated fighter nicknamed “The Golden Boy” of boxing, with thirty-nine wins in his boxing career. He won the Lineal championship in three weight classes and other titles in Super featherweight, Lightweight, Light welterweight, Welterweight, Light middleweight, and Middleweight. Outside boxing, he runs a charitable foundation educating underprivileged youths and a combat sport promotional firm Golden Boy Promotions.
