Pygmy right whales, unlike other right whales, have sickle-shaped dorsal fins, bodies that are sleeker and more streamlined and small, narrowly rounded flippers. Additionally, Pygmy right whales are social and prefer gathering in groups and spending less time on the surface. They also spot pale highlighting running along their underside to the tail.
