The animals are usually small, very streamlined, and flashy with the grey strips that run along its body being the most distinct feature. Like other dolphins, the Striped dolphin is very social, often moving in large pods and at top speed. These animals love to be at the surface of the water where they display amazing acrobatics and engage in leap and high jumps. They are likewise killed in large numbers for their meat and trade to dolphinariums.
