The Candlepin Pin Deck in Candlepin Bowling is the spacing between each Candlepin that determines their layout. Ten Candlepins are used in a game and they are placed in a triangular layout. The triangular layout has 4 Candlepins in the back row, followed by 3, then 2, and the last Candlepin makes up the tip of the triangle. Candlepin Pin Spacing has the same spacing as Ten-Pin Bowling. The Candlepin Pin Spacing make it impossible for a player to strike every Candlepin in a single try. The standard Candlepin Pin Spacing also makes it harder to bowl a high score which is why fallen Candlepins are not cleared.
Candlepin Pin Decks have an overall width of 38.875” (98.7 cm) and depth of 34.125” (86.7 cm). The spacing between adjacent pins is 12" (30.48 cm).
