Charlize Theron is an American actress. She was born in South Africa in 1975 and moved to Europe, and later New York City, to pursue a modeling career. She began working in film in the 1990s, gaining roles in films such as Mighty Joe Young and The Devil’s Advocate. In 2003, she appeared as serial killer Aileen Wuornos, which won her an Academy Award. More recently she has played the evil Queen Ravenna in Disney’s Snow White and the Huntsman franchise. She lives in Los Angeles and has two adopted children.
