We continue to search for extraterrestrial life because it is one of the biggest questions of all humanity. It is also a way to move society forward. If we do find extraterrestrial life it will be a moment always remembered and will allow us to understand more about nature and humankind. Finding extraterrestrial life will become the equivalent of the moon landing and will inspire the next generations to go into the technology field.

The Zoo Hypothesis speculates the behavior and existence of extraterrestrial life and the reasons that they may avoid contacting Earth. This hypothesis claims that aliens are intentionally avoiding Earth and communication with humans. One of the main interpretations is that they do so to allow natural evolution, sociocultural development, avoid interplanetary contamination, and just observe Earth. Aliens might want to contact humans once society has passed a certain technological, political, or ethical standard.

The 3 Laws of Robotics were created by Isaac Asimov in the 1940s. The first law is that a robot may not injure a human being or allow a human being to be harmed. The second law is that a robot must obey the orders given by a human being except where it would conflict with the First law. The third law is that a robot must protect its own existence as long as it does not conflict with the First or Second law.

Joseph F. Engelberger is considered all over the world as the father of robotics. Joseph Engelberger was an American physicist, engineer, businessman and is referred to as the man responsible for the birth of one of the most impactful industries, robotics. He developed the first industrial robot in the United States in the 1950s. He was born in 1925 and died in 2015.

Qualities of a great antagonist are that they are driven by a goal, have relatable character flaws, are loyal to a cause, family, or ally, and adapt easily to obstacles. They also often have a secret information they are withholding from everyone, superior intelligence or strength, and create feelings of distrust. Antagonists are characters that stand in opposition to the protagonist of the story and share some of the same traits as the protagonist.

Some villains are not entirely evil, but have good intentions. Some of these villains are Venom, Loki, and Magneto. They often save civilians, protect their families, or are victims. Villains also believe they are doing the best for society, as they are not truly evil and want to accomplish something that seems right to them. If a villain is evil or not depends on the perspective of the observer.

Famous henchmen in film and literature include the likes of Oddjob from "Goldfinger," known for his deadly hat-throwing skills, and Bellatrix Lestrange from the "Harry Potter" series, who is fiercely loyal to the main antagonist. In "The Lord of the Rings," the Uruk-hai, serving Saruman and Sauron, are quintessential henchmen. Another notable example is Igor, the assistant to Dr. Frankenstein in various adaptations of Mary Shelley's classic novel.

Writers create distinct and memorable henchmen by giving them unique traits, quirks, or backgrounds that set them apart. This can include distinctive physical characteristics, unusual skills, or a particular style of speech. Providing a glimpse into their motivations or personal histories can also add depth. Making them competent or giving them moments of unexpected sympathy or humor can further enhance their memorability and impact in the story.

Science fiction deals with scenarios and technology that are possible or may be possibly based on science. Fantasy on the other hand is an older genre than science fiction and deals with themes that are not plausible in real life. Both science fiction and fantasy require rules just because fantasy is not based on scientific facts doesn’t mean that anything is possible and can do anything.

The invention of science fiction can be attributed to Mary Shelley. She invented the genre when she wrote Frankenstein and The Modern Prometheus in 1818. Mary Shelley was only 19 years old at the time and was ahead of her time. Frankenstein was originally published anonymously with a preface by Percy Shelly. The second edition was later republished in 1822 with Mary Shelley taking credit for her work.

Common characteristics of an adventure story include fast-paced plot lines, brave protagonists in dangerous situations, and a specific period of time to accomplish a goal or mission. Sometimes adventure stories have dark moods because of what the protagonist has to face and evil enemies that readers or viewers want the protagonist to beat. Adventure stories are also often set in unusual locations.

A choose your own adventure story is a series of children’s gamebooks in which each story is written from a second-person point of view. The reader takes on the role of the protagonist and makes choices that determine actions of the main character as well as the outcome of the story. The concept was created by Edward Packard. The Choose Your Own Adventure stories were created for 7 to 14-year old children.

TV first became popular during the late 1940 and early 1950s. The number of television sets went from 6,000 in 1946 and reached 12 million in 1951. Television sets became the first invention to reach such a large number so quickly. By 1955 half of all US homes had one.

The term television is used because it stems from the Greek prefix tele as well as the Latin word vision which means seeing from a distance. Thus, the word television combines both worlds into one. The television converts electric impulses and transforms them into images for viewers to see.
