Human Spacing - Intimate Space

Human Spacing - Intimate Space

Description
Description

Intimate spaces are used for physical or emotional confidential communications such as telling someone a secret, hugging, holding hands, or standing side-by-side. There is a physical distance of 0-2 feet between the individuals, and this space is usually reserved for lovers, close family members and friends, and pets. In crowded urban areas, this space can be broken, like when in a crowded elevator. As this level of physical proximity may be uncomfortable, eye contact is usually avoided.
