The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1”, is a member of the midrange Galaxy Tab A Series of tablets as the successor to the Galaxy Tab A 8” and Galaxy Tab A 9.7.” The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1” was introduced on May 2016. Later, in September 2016, a version of the Galaxy Tab A 10.1” was released with the new S pen, while the original model does not include the S pen.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow while its predecessors originally ran Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. The Galaxy Tab A devices are the first Tab devices to come preloaded with free versions of Microsoft Office.
