The Serbian Spruces is native to the Drina River valley in western Serbia as well as eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. The pyramidal crown of the Serbian Spruce makes it favorable for use as a Christmas tree. The Serbian Spruce has a thick trunk with pendant branches and leaves that resemble needles with a blue-green coloring. The Serbian Spruce is non-flowering and produces cones that are long and have a spindle shape. The Serbian Spruce is in danger of extinction as it is threatened by fires.
