Carrie White, or Carrietta N. White, is the antagonist of Stephen King’s first horror novel, Carrie. Carrie is a social outcast at school, constantly bullied and tormented by her classmates. Carrie White’s mother is also an abusive religious fanatic; so between her home life and school life, Carrie is always tormented. In the locker room showers at school, Carrie gets her first period and shatters lightbulbs with her telepathic and telekinetic abilities. When she attends prom, her classmates pull a prank on her by dousing her with pig’s blood and she retaliates by using her supernatural abilities to kill her entire school and town.
