An important factor about the Jagdterrier is that it loves work. Even though it has a small, compact, and relatively well-proportioned body. The dog is native to Germany, versatile, and categorized as a working terrier. Hence, also called the German Hunt Terrier. It excels well in hunting under the ground and flushing out game. This is made possible by its thick coat with abundant hair, which is usually black or tan, with the tan markings being on the legs, base of tail, chest, muzzle, and eyebrows. The tail is set at normal length while the ears are v-shaped, semi-dropped, and set high. The nose is black, and the eyes small, dark, and oval.
