Its streamlined frames, long muscular legs, quick hindquarters, short, hard, close coat give the Treeing Walker Coonhound a combination of gentle pleading expression and working impression mainly for hunting or outdoor activities. The dog is intelligent and confident with good tracking instinct and high vocal distinctive bays. The Treeing Walker Coonhound has low set floppy ears rounded at the tips and folded to its neck, feline feet, and a smooth coat in a triangular or bi-color pattern exposing black, white, and tan markings.
