The Wirehaired Pointing Griffon is also adapted to hunt through water and thicket because its coat gives its body sufficient armor. This strong but medium-size dog outer coat is harsh and wiry, having steel gray color with brown markings. The dog too has a large head and eyes, brown nose, and a lavish mustache: these inborn appearance makes the breed outgoing, eager, and alert.
