Darth Maul is a fictional Sith Lord in the Star Wars franchise. The apprentice of Darth Sidious, he is replaced by Darth Vader after presumably dying in battle with Obi-Wan Kenobi, only to recover and come back with a vengeance. He is cut in half by Obi-Wan, and survives and stays alive amid a junk planet through the power of pure spite. After recovering, Darth Maul spends his life searching for revenge, only to die in his final battle against Obi-Wan. He is best known for his iconic black-and-red face and the horns growing from his head in place of hair.
