Boromir was born into a powerful noble family of Gondor. He was son of Denethor the Steward of Gondor and older brother of Faramir. A noted and widely feared warrior, Boromir was well known throughout Middle Earth. He joined the Fellowship of the Ring and proved his worth by ensuring the Fellowships’ safe passage through the Mines of Moria, defeating a great many Orcs and goblins. He was however, easily manipulated by the One Ring, which influenced him in trying to take the ring from Frodo by force. Boromir was later killed protecting Merry and Pippen from the Uruk-hai. He died with Aragorn by his side.
